The SkateMate is one of the most sophisticated sharpening tools in the world. The tool consists of a flexible abrasive cylinder combined with guides that center the cylinder perfectly on the blade. While most sharpeners simply remove burrs and reshape the outside edge of the blade, the SkateMate's curved sharpening cylinder reshapes the entire surface of the blade (including the interior of the hollow).
