Samsung Korea has just announced plans to release the SP-P300MK Pocket Imager, that's right a mini-projector not really small enough for the average pocket but signifcantly smaller than what is available today. The Pocket Imager, which made its first appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas earlier this year measures 12.7cm x 9.45 cm x 5.08cmm and weighs in at 660g. Images are delivered at an 800 x 600 resolution and with a brightness of 23 ANSI lumens. It can also work without AV power for about 2 and a half hours, good enough for an average good movie. Microtek announced the availibility of its CX6 XGA DLP projector in the US. The CX6 boasts a 2000 ANSI lumens brightness rating, and is portable at just 7.8 pounds. The sub-$1,000 price is an added bonus. The lamp life is rated at 2000 hours, and the projector beams out images at 1024 x 768 pixel resolution.
